I was born in Canada, raised in Spain, I have Mexican and Spanish family, spent time in England, travelled to Portugal, Italy, India, Senegal… Every place I’ve been to and every culture I’ve been immersed in, has taken a piece of my heart.
Most of my experience has been working with children and youth in several different areas. I have a passion for helping families, especially new mothers. Motherhood can be difficult, and it for sure “takes a village”. My counselling style is an integrative approach, focusing on person-centered therapy, using strategies to achieve self-awareness and empowerment. I provide counselling in both English and Spanish. Life can present us with challenges, and it’s my passion to bridge the gap between where you are now and where you want to be. I’m deeply invested in your well-being and committed to helping you thrive on your healing journey. As a trauma-informed therapist, I strive to empower my clients with the skills and tools they need to cultivate healthy relationships—with themselves, others, their partners, or their relationship with addiction.
For couples, I offer a safe and non-judgmental space to explore and strengthen their bond while navigating the challenges that intimate relationships can present. We will dive into the dynamics that may be impacting your relationship, learn effective communication strategies, and work towards creating a deeper sense of intimacy and understanding, all while addressing the impact of childhood wounds. Additionally, I specialize in working with individuals who are seeking to understand and heal their relationship with addiction. Together, we’ll explore the underlying emotional and psychological factors contributing to addictive patterns and behaviours and the power in returning to wholeness. By addressing these root causes, we can pave the way for lasting recovery and a healthier relationship with substances and self.
Influenced by the profound work of Dr. Gabor Maté, I draw upon his wisdom and techniques to guide our therapeutic journey. We will unravel old conditioning to recognize wounds, heal and transform past pain, break free from addictive patterns, and address the root causes that keep us from living in our authenticity.
Together, we can rebuild and rediscover the joy of connection. By exploring your relationship with self, we can uncover a transformative path and empower you to live your best life, both within yourself and in your relationships.
